Bill Tate was Justice of the Peace, artist, and storyteller. For many years in the racially turbulent years of "La Raza Del Norte", he helped enable the hippie influx into the mountain villages of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. He was instrumental in securing Wavy Gravy and the Hog Farm's Llano San Juan location.
