Mamacita Martinez was the mother of eleven kids. Her husband, Pedro, worked all week in Los Alamos, while she cared for the family, seen here returning from the fields with feed for the horses. They used the old wagon since they had no truck. Mamacita owned houses in Ojo Sarco which she rented to the hippies, including the infamous "Goatshed". She and her family were friendly to the outsiders who invaded their quiet old farming community with their strange ways.
