tPeace and the Puta, Douglas Magnus

Notoriously well-known, Sally Ann had come to New Mexico from San Francisco via Mexico, where she had spent time in search of enlightenment and magic mushrooms. Among her adventures were stays in whorehouses and jails. The diary she kept was discovered by a lecherous artist in Santa Fe and published by Emil Hoffman under the title Peace and the Puta and the Day of the Beautyful Jail. This picture of her passed out at the Springs was on the book's cover. She had finally found peace.
